Everyone will have a favorite time of year to move, if moving is a necessity. Logically in the depths of winter with snow and ice around, this would not be the most opportune time. If you have children, it would be obvious that you would like for them to finish the school year if at all possible and spend the summer making new friends. This makes moving during the summer months a strong consideration. If you have family, moving during any holiday season like Christmas and Thanksgiving might take away time better spent with loved ones, especially if you will not be seeing them again any time soon, due to the move. There is also a good chance that the moving companies will charge a premium for moving you during the holidays. After all, they too want to be with their families.
Saving money is always a consideration. Check moving prices in Chattanooga Tennessee and other areas during the different times of the year, if your schedule is flexible. Why pay a lot more when you can wait out the moving companies and move at your leisure and save money in the process?
If money is no problem, your schedule becomes more flexible. You can move when you wish and not care about the extra fees for certain seasons. If moving close by, the time of year is less important.
